Lynsey Newman specialises in all aspects of property litigation – providing expert advice to developers, investors, landlords and tenants of commercial. She advises and represents landlords and tenants in relation to business lease renewals, rent reviews, forfeiture, dilapidations and contract terminations as well as a wide range of general obligations inherent in the landlord and tenant relationship.

Lynsey advises landowners and developers on an equally broad range of issues including the removal/enforcement of restrictive covenants, claims for adverse possession and general disputes on title.

Residential

Lynsey advises on residential tenancies to include short term and long residential leases. This includes possession actions, recovery of rent arrears and service charges and long lease extensions and collective enfranchisement. Clients include managing agents, investors, and housing associations.

Key Experience and Clients

Lynsey Newman successfully represented Mokoko, a St Albans based bar, over a noise nuisance claim in October 2008. This ruling could provide protection to other businesses against complaints of a similar nature.
