Essential HR 2010 breakfast seminar with Helen Giles MBE

Learn best practice employee engagement and leadership with the multi-award winning leader of Broadway and Broadway’s Real People.

Leading employment law services firm SA Law kicks off its Essential HR 2010 free breakfast seminar series with an opportunity to meet and learn from Helen Giles MBE. Helen is HR Director of homelessness charity Broadway, and Managing Director of Broadway’s Real People.

Helen’s long list of HR awards provides testimony of her expertise and success in this field. In addition to being listed as one of Personnel Today’s Top 10 HR Power Players, and being ranked 12th in HR Magazine’s Most Influential HR Practitioners in 2009, her team has won a National Training Award; Personnel Today’s Best Place to Work in HR 2007 and Best Small HR Team 2008; the Best Employer and Best Charity Partnership categories in the Third Sector Excellence Awards 2008; HR Team of the Year in Inside Housing’s Housing Heroes Awards 2009; and Best Third Sector Strategy in HR Magazine’s HR Excellence Awards 2009. Helen was also awarded HR Director of the Year at the 2008 Personal Today Awards and was made MBE in the same year for her contribution to homelessness services.

In what promises to be a lively and informal session in which delegates can voice their experiences and issues, Helen and SA Law’s own Head of Employment Vanessa James will cover:

  • Boosting employee engagement as we emerge from recession
  • How public sector organisations can maintain engagement whilst facing cuts
  • How HR teams can drive engaging leadership
  • The best ways to measure HR team success and report it back to the business
  • The latest news affecting HR professionals
