Date 6 January 2011

Companies across South West Hertfordshire are invited to support the Peace Hospice by taking part in their annual Dress Down Day on Friday 28th January 2011. Businesses of all sizes are welcome to get involved by ditching the usual dress code and wearing something totally different for the day.

Last year, local companies SA Law, M&S, Arriva, Watford Football Club, and KPMG joined in the fundraising in an effort to help the Hospice reach their annual target of £11 million to help carry out their remarkable work.

Corporate Development Manager at the Hospice Maggie Grand said ‘This is our eighth Dress Down Day sponsored by SA Law. It is an excellent opportunity for businesses to show their support for the Peace Hospice by taking part.

Businesses can take part by swapping their suits for jeans, dressing up or down - even run with a theme such as bad taste, favourite football team, wear a hat or wig for the day; or by wearing one of our special Dress Down Day t-shirts. We are keen to bring a bit of fun to businesses during a month that can often be quite gloomy and cold’.

The Peace Hospice, based in Watford, cares for people living with life limiting or terminal illness and supports their families across South West Hertfordshire. They provide inpatient care, day care, an outpatient service, a hospice at home service as well as bereavement support.
