SA Law recently joined a legal services panel addressing commercial officers of British Embassies. The aim of the one-day briefing was to train delegates on how their positions in international jurisdictions could assist the growth of the UK legal services sector.
Glenn McDonald, Head of SA Law’s Inward Investment and International Trade team joined other senior trade experts from Eversheds and Wragge & Co. Their panel session, entitled “Models for Exporting Legal Services”, presented a clear picture of the how legal services are delivered in an international arena. It also brought delegates up-to-date with how UK firms have been making their mark overseas.
Commercial officers from 18 different jurisdictions attended the highly successful event, including many representing key emerging markets such as China, India and Vietnam.
Other legal trade experts addressing the delegates included members of the Law Society, the Bar Council, UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the Department of Constitutional Affairs.
