SA Law’s high profile Family department has expanded with the arrival of new team member Nicola Brown – a family law solicitor from Chelmsford and Colchester-based firm Birkett Long.

The SA Law team has long held its position as Hertfordshire’s leading family practice – something that has remained unchanged in five years of annual legal industry research undertaken by independent publisher The Legal 500. In light of a further increase in workload, the new appointment meets a need to expand the number of client-facing legal advisors in the team.

Nicola has an excellent track record of assisting clients with the financial issues related to divorce and separation, and a great deal of experience in matters involving children. She is known for her friendly and sympathetic approach to this highly sensitive area of law, and for building trust with clients at an early stage. Highlights of her career to date include securing child access for an unmarried father in a long-running case against a hostile mother, and a number of extremely favourable settlements for high net worth individuals in divorce and ancillary relief proceedings.
