Hertfordshire-based SA Law has announced the promotion of four new partners to coincide with the firm’s fourth birthday.
The firm promotes two new property partners; Head of Commercial Property Terence Ritchie and Lynsey Newman, Head of the Property Litigation .
Ritchie advises clients ranging from large multinationals to start-ups on a variety of commercial property issues including acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant related matters. Newman’s expertise is in property litigation, and she acts for developers, investors, landlords and tenants in both the commercial and residential arena.
They are joined by Keith Docking, a Family Lawyer and Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, and Director of Finance & Business Support Gill Garrett.
Docking is an experienced practitioner who specialises in the resolution of financial matters following divorce and relationship breakdown and has acted for numerous wealthy individuals, including a number of high profile professional footballers. Garrett is Director of Finance & Business Support, and has had been responsible for the day-to-day running of the firm since overseeing the management buy out in 2005. She has over 20 years experience in the legal industry.
Both benefit from the recent rule change that allows non-lawyers to enter partnership.
Steve Ryan, Managing Partner of SA Law, commented:
“All four have been with us since we set up in 2005, and it is great to add some home-grown partners to the lateral hires we have made in the last few years. These are exciting times for the legal profession, and by promoting two non-solicitors to partnership we have again demonstrated our willingness to embrace the changes heralded by the Legal Services Act.”
New partner Gill Garrett added:
“I have seen the firm evolve since 2005, and I am delighted to join the partnership. The next few years will present many challenges and opportunities, and I look forward playing a part in the continued success of the firm.”
