Dario Franchitti took the chequered flag after 415 miles of racing in the 91st Indianapolis 500, held on 27 May and cut short by rain.  A great drive throughout 2hrs 45 minutes of thrilling racing saw the Scot walking off with a cool US$1.6 million and the Borg-Warner trophy, and adding his name to a list of greats including Graham Hill and Jim Clark.

Partner and sports specialist, Peter Goodman, was trackside and overjoyed to see Dario add to the 2005 success of another of his clients, Dan Wheldon.  Peter explained, “the Indy 500 is the biggest race in the world and has the highest attendance of any single sporting event.  There were over 300,000 spectators here today!  The action is incredible – Dario’s qualifying lap was 225mph, and that’s the average speed!  It was a privilege to have three drivers here today – Dario, Dan and Milka Duno on her first time at the Indy.”

Congratulations Dario!
