Local legal services firm SA Law raised over £1000 in sponsorship money at the weekend’s annual St Albans Half-marathon.
Ten SA Law staff members took part in the event, raising money for the event’s key charities Clic Sargent (Caring for Children with Cancer) and the Action for Breast Cancer (ABC) Appeal. Individual sponsorship money was also raised for local hospice charities The Hospice of St Francis, Grove House, Keech Cottage, Noah's Ark, The Pasque and The Peace Hospice.
SA Law also sponsored many key aspects of the prestigious community event. They funded the numbers, mile markers and the finish-line clock in order to maximise the total funds raised for the nominated charities.
Staff members taking part in the 5K event were Lesley Campbell-Jones, Emma Lambert, Joy Laws, Sharon Stone and Rosalyn Workman. Participants in the Half-marathon were Rob Beardmore, Gary Dunger, Sam Longworth, Terence Ritchie and Lynsey Wilkins.
Jim Swindells, Director of Fundraising at The Peace Hospice said, "SA Law has always shown tremendous support to The Peace Hospice and, by donating funds raised at the half-marathon, is further demonstrating its contribution and support for the local community. The Peace Hospice cares for local people with terminal illness and the money raised will help us continue our vital care and support more people."
