Since 1996, SA Law corporate recovery and insolvency solicitor Sharon Stone has also served as an insolvency advisor with the Institute of Directors’ Information and Advisory Services Team. On 29 November 2006, this impressive team won a prestigious award at the 2006 annual International Information Industry Awards ceremony.

Hosted by Online Information and Information World Review, the awards dinner recognises the achievements of information teams and individual professionals. The IoD team was awarded “Best Team in a Business Environment” for its work advising institute members on how to turn their businesses around or deal with specific issues such as prospective insolvency, insolvent customers and suppliers.

“This was a thrill to win,” comments Sharon. “Our team provides all types of corporate advice to the UK’s directors and I am responsible for providing the recovery and insolvency advice. We are delighted to be recognised for our work. This has benefited hundreds of businesses – in some cases helping them to avoid insolvency and getting them back on track to profit.”

Around 800 industry professionals and guests attended the event that was hosted by television presenter John Sergeant, who served as the BBC’s chief political correspondent between 1992 and 2000.
