This training course will provide all levels of employees with:-
- A clear understanding of what equality and diversity in the modern workplace means in practice (including an awareness of the sensitivities of colleagues and how those sensitivities may be unintentionally infringed).
- The interpersonal skills to ensure that the boundaries defining equality and diversity in the workplace are not breached and;
- Guidance on what steps to take if those boundaries have been breached (either unintentionally by the delegate, by others as witnessed by the delegate or where the delegate feels they have been subjected to inequality by others).
- A basic awareness of the legal framework of equality in the workplace and the implications of failing to respect equality and diversity in the workplace.
- The benefits in maintaining appropriate boundaries with colleagues and respecting equality and diversity in the workplace.
- A brief analysis of equality and diversity issues in relation to third parties (i.e. service users/customers/suppliers etc)
